This office-based role reports to the CFO and supports month-end close and compliance across AP/AR functions. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel skills, 3+ years of experience, and a construction‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or financial operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial record keeping.
• Experience with AR, AP, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Enter all invoices, code, and route for approval; export to accounting system; match invoices to PO, subcontracts, and receipts; verify pricing and quantities.
• Subcontractor Compliance: obtain lien waivers, maintain W-9s, insurance certificates, licenses, bonds; track and reconcile compliance.
• Payments: Prepare check runs, ACH batches, and joint checks; ensure alignment with pay apps and contracts; manage discounts and due dates.
• Vendor Management: set up vendor files, reconcile statements, respond to inquiries, resolve disputes.
• Recordkeeping & Support: maintain audit-ready AP records; assist 1099 data collection and year-end; support month-end close and ad hoc requests.
