Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a motivated new graduate to join our team in Chelmsford, MA as a Construction Specialist. The role offers exposure to both technical and field activities, including cost evaluation, scheduling, and RFI processing.

You will work with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely, safe completion of projects while learning through on‑the‑job training and collaboration with VDC/BIM teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline; 0 years travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing documents, preparing deliverables, and participating in pre‑bid site visits.
• Determine total project costs by evaluating proposals and researching labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Develop preliminary schedules for engineering and construction.
• Prepare and review submittals and RFIs.
• Coordinate with project team, subcontractors, client and vendors to ensure timely and safe completion.
• Develop final record drawings and as‑builts.
