Construction Specialist – Air National Guard Recruiting

Pavements and Construction Equipment personnel construct runways and airfields in remote global locations in addition to maintaining facilities already in use. They are the heavy construction equipment operators in the Air National Guard and their training and on-the-job experience translates into excellent civilian opportunities. These personnel are also trained and experienced in the use of explosives.

Location and Salary

Great Falls, MT – $100,000 – $115,000

Primary Responsibilities
  • Construct and maintain concrete and asphalt runways, parking aprons and roads
  • Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment including loaders, graders, bulldozers, backhoes and dump trucks plus tractor‑trailer combinations
  • Determine materials and equipment requirements and prepare construction cost estimates
  • Design demolition projects; place and detonate explosives
