Job Description

As a Special Inspections Technician (SIT I), you will work under the supervision of a registered professional engineer, performing inspection or sampling services alongside site managers and engineers. Your role is critical in quality assurance for construction projects, involving collection of concrete, soil, and other materials, monitoring contractor activities, and preparing detailed daily reports.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (3 years).
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and time-conscious.
  • Proficient with smartphones and computers (MS Office).
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks on uneven ground.
Applicant Requirements

All new technicians must acquire the Special Inspector General Requirements Certification within three months and additional certifications within specified timeframes to obtain full certification within two years.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of construction materials inspection experience.
  • Industry-certified inspector.
