Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Construction Mason & Skilled Labor to join their team. As a Construction Mason, you will be part of the skilled trades team supporting various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Overview

Job Title: Mason

Location: Parkersburg, WV

Pay Range: $16-21 based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements, dimensions, and materials needed.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, mixing mortar, and laying out materials.
  • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, or other masonry units to build walls, partitions, foundations, and other structures.
  • Repair and restore existing masonry structures, including repointing, patching, and replacing damaged units.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Mason, with a portfolio of completed projects.
  • Knowledge of various masonry materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent training preferred.
