Southern Land Development is seeking a skilled Site Supervisor to oversee commercial construction projects in Alabama. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in construction management, strong leadership abilities, and effective communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include managing construction staff, maintaining relationships with clients, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates should be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial construction experience as a Site Supervisor or equivalent position.
• Valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Use strong leadership skills to effectively manage, train, mentor and coach direct reports to meet goals and expectations.
• Create and demonstrate a culture of teamwork.
• Responsible for compliance.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients and business associates.
• Partner with project managers to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Supervise activities of in-house construction staff to ensure timely completion of the project and that it remains within the budget.

Qualifications

• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge and understanding of manual drawings, blueprints and building materials.
• Valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints.
• Knowledge of specification plans and project estimates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; requires ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and courteously with all clients, vendors, the general public and employees.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to operate with minimal direction and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to complete construction projects under scheduled deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
