Job summary

DiStefano Brothers Construction is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, lead carpenters and trade partners, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, manage scheduling, material flow, and quality control, and enforce OSHA safety protocols across active sites while representing the company with clients and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10+ years of professional construction supervisory experience (residential design-build).
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building codes, safety regulations, and inspection processes.
• Proficient in reading construction drawings; experience with construction software (Buildertrend preferred).
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Site Leadership & Crew Management: Direct daily field operations, lead carpenters and sub-trades, set clear expectations, track productivity, and oversee timekeeping and scheduling.
• Scheduling & Subcontractor Coordination: Develop 2–3 week lookahead schedules; host daily site huddles; ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.
• Site Safety & Quality Assurance: Enforce OSHA standards and building codes; conduct quality walkthroughs and punch lists; submit daily logs with photos.
• Material, Resource & Client Oversight: Ensure materials, tools, and staging are prepared; maintain organized sites and act as on-site contact for clients and inspectors.

Position Overview

The Site Superintendent manages field operations, leading jobsite teams, coordinating trade partners, and collaborating with Project Managers to drive project success. You will be responsible for scheduling, material management, quality control, and enforcing strict safety standards across all active sites.

Primary Responsibilities

• Site Leadership & Crew Management: Direct daily field operations, leading carpenters and sub-trades in accordance with the "DBC Way." Set clear expectations, track productivity, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee daily timekeeping, cost codes, and crew scheduling.
• Scheduling & Subcontractor Coordination: Develop and execute 2–3 week short-interval lookahead schedules. Host daily site huddles, manage trade partner accountability, and work closely with Project Managers to keep projects on timeline and within scope.
• Site Safety & Quality Assurance: Enforce strict OSHA safety standards and build code compliance to ensure zero-incident sites and first-time inspection passes. Conduct regular quality control walkthroughs, complete punch lists, and submit mandatory daily log reports (with photos/notes) via Buildertrend.
• Material, Resource & Client Oversight: Ensure all materials, tools, and staging are prepped ahead of install deadlines. Maintain organized, secure jobsites and company vehicles, while acting as the professional, on-site point of contact for clients, inspectors, and vendors through project closeout.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5–10+ years of professional construction supervisory experience (experience in residential design-build environment required).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building codes, safety regulations, and inspection processes.
• Plans & Software: Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications; experience with construction software (Buildertrend preferred).
• Leadership & Organization: Proventime management, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• Certifications: OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and clean driving record as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with state and federal regulations.
