Job summary

RELYANT Global, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to manage day-to-day production and scheduling on a project at Anderson AFB in Guam. The role emphasizes quality control and subcontractor coordination to ensure timely completion within budget, while enforcing safety and company policies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (preferred), 10 years of construction experience with 5 years in a superintendent role, and certifications such as EM 385-1-1

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred for supervision roles.
• 10 years construction experience required.
• 5 years superintendent experience required.
• Experience with USACE/NAVFAC/DoD programs.
• EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 30 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
• Direct field personnel to complete on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
• Maintain construction schedule and identify/solve problems.
• Review plans, drawings and specifications for each project.
• Promote job site safety and rectify hazards immediately.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors follow the company safety policy.
• Interview, hire and train construction workers.
• Assist Project Manager in estimating percent completion and labor for cost reports.
• Lead daily plan of the day meetings with construction staff.
• Attend pre-construction and construction meetings and take notes for potential issues.
• Maintain close communication with Project Manager on unforeseen problems.

Job description

RELYANT Global, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent for a work performed at Anderson AFB in Guam. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing and coordinating day‑to‑day production and schedule adherence on the project. The role of the superintendent will also include important quality control and subcontractor coordination responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
• Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.
• Has a thorough knowledge of the plans, drawings, and specifications for each project assigned.
• Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
• Ensures all workers and subcontractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
• Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office.
• Interviews, hires, and trains construction workers.
• Exercises control over rate of construction progress in order to complete construction project within time limits; schedules jobs and operations.
• Estimates materials and manpower needed for specific jobs.
• Leads inspection and commission of day‑to‑day construction work to enforce conformity to specifications.
• Leads daily plan of the day meetings with construction staff.
• Reviews the job schedule and cost breakdown, resolving all differences of opinion with Project Manager at the beginning of the job.
• Maintains a good relationship with the Project Manager, seeking his/her assistance in the scheduling of materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Keeps the progress schedule current, reviews schedule status and job costs at least once each month with the Project Manager.
• Maintains inventory control over tools and equipment, ascertaining that movable tools are returned to the tool room and all other equipment adequately secured.
• Completes the daily construction report each day, and submits to the Project Manager.
• Attends pre‑construction and construction meetings, taking notes on areas that may present a future problem and presents them to the Project Manager for consultation.
• Attends, on request, all technical meetings for the purpose of discussing job progress and problem areas.
• Maintains close communication with Project Manager on any unforeseen problems which may develop.
• Assists Project Manager in estimating percent completion of each item for monthly invoicing and of labor for each job cost report.

Skills And Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• 10 years Construction experience (required)
• 5 years Superintendent experience (required)
• Experience working for the USACE, NAVFAC, DoE, or DoD
• Updated EM 385-1-1 certification
• 30 hr OSHA certification
• Concrete and foundation experience
• Certified Electrician (preferred)
• Welding experience (preferred)
• Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations
• Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
• Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish credibility and be decisive
• Must possess and retain a valid driver's license
• Must be able to acquire and retain base access (if applicable)
• Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check
