The ideal candidate will manage scheduling, coordinating deliveries and subcontractors; ensure compliance with contract documents, maintain safety standards, track budgets, and produce lookahead schedules while communicating clearly with team members.

Qualifications

• A related 2- or 4-year degree is preferred.
• Previous construction experience is necessary.
• Strong communication, verbal and written.
• Analytical and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Project, and Bluebeam.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, strong work ethic, and a team player.
• Some travel may be required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor elements year round.

Responsibilities

Projects range from multi-family, retail and industrial, to medical, religious & higher education.

Job Title: Construction Site Superintendent

Position Type: Full Time, Year-Round

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Job Description

• Oversee daily jobsite operations.
• Scheduling and coordination of material deliveries, subcontractor activity, and in-house labor needs.
• Inspect and assure all work is in compliance with contract documents.
• Act as quality control inspector at the jobsite.
• Enforce all safety requirements to all suppliers, subcontractors, and employees. This includes writing safety violation notices to subcontractors as needed.
• Review, field verify, and approve shop drawings as necessary.
• Document on-going construction activity through daily photos.
• Practice sound budget responsibility.
• Keep daily jobsite activity logs.
• Maintain a project Schedule and produce 3-week look-aheads.

Skills and Qualifications

• Physical ability to: Lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; bend; stoop; kneel; carry; reach (including overhead); operate forklift/skidsteer (with training); endurance for walking, standing, stairs, and working in outdoor elements year round; use hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, or control objects and tools; hear and communicate by telephone and in person; and have visual acuity to safely work and operate hand tools and power tools associated with construction.
