Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a Safety Technician for its Austin, TX operations, based out in Taylor, TX. You will promote safe work practices, assist with safety program administration, and ensure timely safety documentation. The role calls for strong communication, field focus, and a readiness to work 50–60 hour weeks in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred bilingual ability and a background in occupational safety are pluses. This position is not visa-sponsored.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong verbal communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Must have OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certifications.
• Role involves field work and safety oversight for multiple craft teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and instill an injury-free culture on sites.
• Assist with Accident Prevention Plan administration and safety training.
• Ensure safety reports and documentation meet client requirements and timelines.
• Collaborate with site safety manager to develop and implement safety procedures.
• Investigate and evaluate injuries and illnesses for project sites.
• Build positive relationships with trades, vendors, and customers; represent PCI safely.
• Spend the majority of time in the field with craft personnel.
