Job summary

RQC, LLC seeks an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The SSHO will lead safety efforts on site, ensuring compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA, and coordinating safety training and inspections for NAVFAC/USACE projects.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in commercial construction safety, are bilingual in Spanish and English, and proficient with RMS/QCS/Viewpoint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience at the jobsite level.
• Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or federal construction projects preferred.
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations.
• Competent Person training and/or experience in fall protection, excavation/trenching, confined spaces, electrical safety, scaffolding, and PPE.
• Documented safety training averaging 24 hours annually over the past 5 years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with RMS, QCS, or Viewpoint preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

• Serve as the onsite safety leader and implement and enforce project safety programs.
• Maintain a compliant safety culture on the job site.

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with experience in commercial construction, federal projects, NAVFAC, USACE, DoD construction, EM 385-1-1 compliance, and OSHA regulations.

The SSHO serves as the onsite safety leader and is responsible for implementing and enforcing project safety programs. This is a full-time, onsite position. Relocation and accommodation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates coming from outside the area.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 annually (DOE)
