Gowan/Garrett, Inc. is seeking a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) to implement and maintain safety protocols at a designated Houston construction site.

You will serve as the primary safety contact and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, fostering a culture of safety across the project. The ideal candidate holds an active BCSP CHST, has site safety experience, strong communication and leadership abilities, and is bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Formación

• Active BCSP CHST certification
• Experience managing safety on a single-site construction project
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary safety contact for the assigned construction site
• Conduct continuous site safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
• Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and logs
• Collaborate with site leadership to resolve safety concerns
• Promote a proactive site leadership to resolve safety concerns
• Perform additional duties as assigned
