Ameresco, Inc. is seeking a Site Safety Manager for a 2-3 year project in Kansas at Fort Riley. The role requires leading safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA/EPA standards, and training personnel on proper safety practices.

Strong communication, documentation, and travel readiness are essential. The position emphasizes developing corrective actions, conducting audits, and maintaining certifications while fostering a positive safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience on similar projects.
• At least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years with competent person status in key areas.
• Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification.
• EM385-1-1 40-Hr. Safety Certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
• First Aid & CPR Certification.
• NFPA 70E certification for flash training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Policies and Standards.
• Ensure PPE meets OSHA/EPA requirements and train employees accordingly.
• Conduct site safety audits and follow-up inspections.
• Provide safety training to project personnel.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre-Construction Meetings.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Lead incident investigations and safety reporting.
• Maintain required safety certifications and travel as needed.
