Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field.
• 4+ years in workplace safety in construction preferred.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Travel is required.
• CHST, OHST, STS, CSP, EMT certs are a plus.
• Physical therapy background a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively observe and provide feedback around the crew's work to eliminate hazards and ensure corrective actions.
• Perform injury management including minor first aid, incident investigations and reporting, and return to work as needed.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and advise on corrective actions.
• Participate in planning upcoming work to identify safety issues and solutions.
• Assist with developing and conducting job site safety orientations for new members, subcontractors and visitors.
• Establish emergency planning with project management, including services, warning signals, and evacuation points.
• Develop systems for proper handling of hazardous materials including use, storage, and disposal.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform periodic industrial hygiene and environmental sampling.
• Participate in the corporate safety audit process and follow-up.
