Job summary

Smartlink is seeking a Construction Site Manager II to oversee telecom site projects from design to completion. You will coordinate on-site teams, manage docs, update project databases, and track activities to ensure timely, within-budget completion.

The role requires a background in construction, RF knowledge, and strong organizational skills, with travel up to 50%. Oregon or Southern Washington locations preferred.

Salary: $80-90,000 (firm, dependent on experience)

Job Summary

The Construction Site Manager II plays a key role in supporting the construction team throughout all phases of a telecommunications site project- from initial design to final completion. This position ensures seamless coordination and communication across the entire program staff, fostering efficiency and clarity. The CSM II collaborates closely with on-site construction teams, manages document control, updates and maintains project databases, and tracks all project activities and communications to ensure timely and successful achievement of project objectives.

ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze and interpret client-provided design, equipment, and specification documents to ensure accurate and effective implementation.
  • Actively contribute to scoping and design meetings by offering constructability insights aligned with RF objectives.
  • Maintain and update both internal and client-facing databases with current site construction data and milestones.
  • Conduct on-site field visits to assess and document site conditions, progress, and compliance.
  • Manage the documentation and tracking of all site design and engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all construction site deliverables.
  • Oversee site progress to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and documentation standards.
  • Continuously review and uphold installation standards, communicating any required specification changes to the client or OEM.
  • Evaluate contractor bids and cost proposals to verify alignment with the site's scope of work, contractual terms, and market benchmarks.
  • Coordinate pre-construction handoffs between contractors and the real estate team to ensure readiness for execution.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to determine optimal construction strategies while ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.
  • Lead the development of material take-offs and bills of materials (BOMs), managing procurement processes and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective material delivery.
  • Perform punch walks and compile closeout packages, updating client databases accordingly.
  • Represent the client in local meetings and maintain clear, professional communication with property owners.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the client and internal leadership, providing transparent updates on site status and progress.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights and best practices related to process design, execution, and optimization.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and company values in all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational success.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands and Work Environment
