Job summary

Mead & Hunt seeks a Construction Services Department Manager to lead a national architecture and engineering practice across multiple locations, including Fenton, MO. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, team development, and expanding construction-phase services while ensuring safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will manage department performance, oversee construction administration and field activities, and drive client engagements and project delivery with a focus on profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management, civil, mechanical, structural, architectural, electrical, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant construction leadership/management experience.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration or related field may be considered instead.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Construction Services department.
• Build and develop the team; strengthen client and contractor relationships.
• Grow construction-phase service offerings and deliver safe, high-quality, profitable work.
• Accountable for department performance and consistent execution of construction admin, management, field observation, and related services.
• Lead or support proposals, scope development, and client negotiations as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction-related field + 5+ years experience
