Job summary

The Superior Group is seeking a Construction Scheduler Intern for the Spring 2027 term in Columbus, Ohio. You will work with the Scheduling team on project controls, learn contracting, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration on-site.

Under supervision, you’ll gain hands-on experience with resource planning, schedule optimization, and coordination with field teams, gaining exposure to real job-site environments and construction timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in construction scheduling and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules for electrical/construction work using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Collaborate with Project Operations, Field Operations, and stakeholders to understand activities, dependencies and critical paths.
• Help analyze progress and identify scheduling risks or delays.
• Support preparation of progress reports, updates, and milestone tracking.
• Participate in meetings and learn best practices in construction scheduling.

Position: Scheduling Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring 2027 term (January – April). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.

Under the guidance of our Scheduling team, you'll gain exposure to our job sites and how we keep our projects moving forward, including contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration. This role is based on a jobsite and will be a member of the Project Controls/Scheduling team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules for electrical construction using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Collaborate with Project Operations, Field Operations,, and stakeholders to understand project activities, dependencies, and critical paths
• Help analyze project progress and identify potential scheduling risks or delays
• Support the preparation of project documentation, including progress reports, updates, and milestone tracking
