Job summary

Superior is seeking a Scheduling Intern for Spring 2027 in Columbus, Ohio. You will join the Project Controls/Scheduling team and gain hands-on experience on job sites while supporting contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration.

Under the Scheduling team guidance, you will learn best practices in construction scheduling and timeline optimization, participate in meetings, and receive leadership training as part of our internship program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in construction-related field.
• Eligible for Spring 2027 internship.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules for electrical construction using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Collaborate with Project Operations, Field Operations, and stakeholders to understand activities and dependencies.
• Analyze project progress and identify scheduling risks or delays.
• Prepare progress reports, updates, and milestone tracking documentation.
• Participate in meetings to learn scheduling best practices and timeline optimization.
• Gain hands-on experience with resource planning and project coordination.

Construction Scheduler Internship - Spring 2027

Position: Scheduling Intern

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring 2027 term (January - April). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.

Under the guidance of our Scheduling team, you'll gain exposure to our job sites and how we keep our projects moving forward, including contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration. This role is based on a jobsite and will be a member of the Project Controls/Scheduling team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules for electrical construction using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Collaborate with Project Operations, Field Operations,, and stakeholders to understand project activities, dependencies, and critical paths
• Help analyze project progress and identify potential scheduling risks or delays
• Support the preparation of project documentation, including progress reports, updates, and milestone tracking
• Participate in meetings and learn best practices in construction scheduling and timeline optimization
• Gained hands-on experience with resource planning and real-world project coordination

Education

Required: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field
