Job summary

Superior is seeking a Safety Intern for Spring 2027 at our Columbus, Ohio jobsite. You will support our Safety team across construction sites and enterprise accounts, participate in safety audits, and help implement training programs to promote a strong safety culture.

We offer hands-on learning, site visits, lunch-and-learns, and leadership training to develop practical safety skills for future careers in construction safety.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Safety or related field.
• Interest in construction safety practices and site safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily safety audits on large construction sites and help ensure compliance with government rules and regulations.
• Assist in audits or daily reports describing activities completed, critical conversations, issues, etc.
• Help create, maintain, and update documentation and forms.
• Assist with training and onboarding new Safety Professionals as needed.
• Collaborate with the Safety team on training programs and initiatives to grow safety culture onsite.
• Create and distribute site specific Toolbox Talks.
• Help to organize PPE in multiple locations onsite.
• Assist with creating safety reports for the multiple projects.

Position: Safety Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring 2027 term (January - April). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.

Under the guidance of our Safety team, the Safety Intern will gain exposure to all aspects of safety across our construction jobsites and enterprise accounts. You will also support jobsite safety initiatives to ensure our team members uphold proper protocols. This role is based on a jobsite.

Key Responsibilities
