Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Construction Scheduler in Washington, DC to manage scheduling across multiple construction projects as part of the Project Controls team. The role focuses on tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical paths, with responsibility for alerts and schedule integrity.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of construction management experience, and may pursue AACE, CMAA, PMI, or PSP certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 2+ years of construction management experience preferred.
• Professional certification in AACE, CMAA, PMI, PSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track status of critical activities impacting the project.
• Monitor program milestones and interdependencies.
• Analyze project planning, schedule updates and delays.
• Provide alerts on items impacting the project schedule.
• Identify the critical path and suggest alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule.
• Develop strategies for negotiating claims.
• Provide technical support in claims litigation.
• Write and prepare technical reports.
• Attend meetings and lead discussions on project status.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
