Construction Sales Engineer - Low/Medium Voltage Switchgear (Charlotte)

Position Overview

Role Description

  • Develop and support distributors and electrical contractors, focusing on project achievement through the construction channel.
  • Provide market presence and channel support to grow market share.
  • Utilize SieSales for opportunity development and forecasting.
  • Support products including panelboards, switchboards, medium voltage gear, lighting panels, low voltage switchgear, busway, motor control centers, molded case circuit breakers, IEC/NEMA control, safety switches, and residential products.
  • Build and maintain a business plan, cultivate a healthy sales pipeline, follow up on leads, and manage existing customers.
  • Develop strategic account plans to exceed expectations in revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish long-term relationships with senior management at key customer accounts, solution partners, and channels.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience with low/medium voltage power distribution products, or 5+ years of relevant sales experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience selling to local electrical contractors.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with LV/MV power distribution products.

Siemens offers comprehensive health and wellness benefits. The salary range is $73,500 - $153,700, plus potential sales incentives. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, and location.
