Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is hiring a Construction Safety Specialist for projects in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey. You will provide daily safety oversight for contractors and ensure OSHA compliance on refinery or petro-chemical sites.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, OSHA 1926 knowledge, and the ability to coach crews on safe work practices. A current OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR/AED, and TWIC are preferred; travel across sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience in refinery or petro-chemical settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED.
• Strong hazard recognition, communication, coaching, and field leadership skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel to different sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction safety/EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations.
• Review JHAs/JSAs, PTPs, permits, toolbox talks, and safety documentation.
• Coach trades on OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Monitor chemical exposures using a respirator as needed.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and track corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and client/site safety programs.

Construction Safety Specialist

Compliance Management International (CMI) is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist for projects in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey. This is a long-term career opportunity for a hands-on Safety Professional with strong petro-chemical or refinery, OSHA compliance, and field safety experience.

What You’ll Do

• Provide daily construction safety / EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors
