Job summary

Compliance Management International is hiring a Construction Safety Specialist for a long-term Oceanport, NJ project. You will provide daily EHS oversight for contractors, conduct inspections and audits, review safety docs, and coach teams on OSHA compliance.

Strong construction safety experience and OSHA 30-Hour are required, with a focus on MEP safety and field leadership. Ideal candidates will have experience with NFPA 70E, LOTO, fall protection, and a willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong MEP construction safety experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction safety/EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations.
• Review JHAs/JSAs, Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, toolbox talks, and safety documentation.
• Coach trades and contractors on OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Monitor MEP, electrical safety, NFPA 70E, LOTO, fall protection, scaffolding, confined space, hot work, excavation, cranes, rigging, and material handling.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and track corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, client requirements, and site-specific safety programs.

Construction Safety Specialist

Compliance Management International (CMI) is hiring an experienced Construction Safety Specialist for a construction project in Oceanport, NJ. This is a long-term career opportunity for a hands‑on EHS/Safety Professional with strong construction, MEP, OSHA compliance, and field safety experience.

What You’ll Do

• Provide daily construction safety / EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations

What You’ll Bring

• Strong hazard recognition, communication, coaching, and field leadership skills
• Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as project needs require
• Reliable transportation
• Preferred: CHST, STS‑C, ASP, CSP, OSHA 500, NFPA 70E, or safety/EHS degree
