Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Safety Supervisor for the Farmington, New Mexico project site. The role focuses on instilling safety as a top priority, developing site safety policies, and training personnel.

Travel to designated project sites is required, and a background screening will be conducted. Ideal candidates have five plus years in construction safety supervision, OSHA 500 or equivalent preferred, and a degree in Occupational Health and Safety.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of experience in a construction safety supervisorial role.
• Highly knowledgeable in civil construction safety practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Instill Safety as a top priority by monitoring and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Oversee the Project Safety Program and site safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct training, including new hire orientation and safety meetings.
• Monitor heavy construction work for compliance with safety requirements.
• Assist Project Manager with project setups and communicate with client and subcontractors.
