Job summary

Shirley Parsons in Reno, NV, is seeking a Safety Professional for a permanent, non-exempt role paid hourly with overtime eligibility. The position requires CHST or CSP and offers $60 per hour plus OT and benefits, with relocation assistance if relocating or a sign-on bonus for locals.

You will oversee safety on a marquee construction project, conduct site inspections, investigations, and audits, and work with the Safety Director to highlight metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years proven safety management on major construction projects
• CHST or CSP certification (required)
• Strong communicator able to engage stakeholders
• Based near Reno and willing to travel to the project daily

Responsibilities

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits; implement corrective actions to improve safety program and culture
• Collaborate with Safety Director to highlight safety metrics/trends for senior leadership
• Conduct new hire orientation and OSHA-compliant training programs
• Engage with operations leadership, job-site teams, GC and client on safety matters, acting as technical expert
