The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and computer skills, conduct training, and supervise safety activities, audits, and incident investigations to ensure a safe, compliant worksite.

Qualifications

• 1 year of heavy industrial construction field safety experience.
• OSHA 30 mandatory; OSHA 500/510 preferred.
• Formal BCSP certifications preferred or comparable experience.
• Strong working knowledge of PPE, JHA/JSA development and compliance monitoring.
• Current First Aid / CPR / AED certification.
• Strong office and communication skills for site management liaison.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the technical facilitation of the Project EH&S Program.
• Provide project safety training, onboarding, and job-specific EH&S training to ensure site compliance.
• Coordinate and conduct routine safety meetings with comprehensive agendas and attendance records.
• Conduct daily site EH&S assessments and formal audits with written findings and close-out documentation.
• Conduct root-cause style investigations for health, safety, property or process losses and prepare required reports.

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Safety Manager The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.

We are looking for a self-directed, detail-oriented safety professional with excellent communication and computer skills who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment.

Job Description

• Develop improve the technical facilitation of the Project EH&S Program.
• Provide the necessary project management, supervisory or craft training, on-boarding/new hire safety orientation, or other job/task-specific EH&S related training, as necessary to ensure compliance with the site EH&S Program requirements, against a given contractor scope of work.
• Coordinate and conduct routine/scheduled safety meetings, which include relevant site/facility topical information, comprehensive agendas, captured minutes/actions, and accurate attendance records.
• Conduct daily informal site EH&S general site assessments or specific formal audit-type inspections while capturing and maintaining the appropriate written finding and close-out documentation.
• Conduct site safety/health, property or process loss, Root-Cause style investigations along with the necessary customer or company required reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1years of heavy industrial construction Field Safety experience.
• OSHA 30 mandatory, OSHA 500/510 preferred.
• Formal (BCSP) certifications preferred or comparable experience in the field.
• Strong working knowledge of PPE, JHA/JSA development and compliance monitoring.
