Qualifications

• Certified Health Safety Technician (CHST) certification is required.
• OSHA 500 certification is required.
• 5+ years of safety oversight experience on construction job sites.
• High emotional intelligence; able to influence, coach, and correct without escalating conflict.
• Clear, direct communicator with all levels of field and management personnel.

Responsibilities

• Attend jobsite meetings and assist with the development of work plans.
• Oversee critical work plan activities to ensure compliance.
• Perform jobsite inspections and review safety documentation for compliance.
• Train crew members in fall protection, PPE, and safety procedures as required.
• Assist in updating the Training Data Base and certifications.
• Inspect rigging and investigate incidents or near-misses to determine root causes.
