Job summary

F.A. Wilhelm Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to lead and enforce the safety program across assigned projects in the field. You will conduct toolbox talks, inspect sites, investigate incidents, and drive continuous safety improvements with project staff and subcontractors.

A strong emphasis on field presence and proactive risk management is required. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30 certification, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with leadership

Qualifications

• 7+ years of safety experience in construction or similar industry.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Must want to be in the field, not behind a desk.
• Proficiency with MS Office and windows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce Wilhelm's Safety Program on assigned projects to prevent injuries and property damage.
• Conduct weekly Toolbox Safety Meetings and document attendance.
• Inspect job sites daily/weekly and document findings.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with foremen and subcontractor safety reps to ensure compliance.
