Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. in West Lafayette, IN, seeks a Construction Safety Manager to lead site safety on projects across the region.

You will drive safety programs, conduct trainings, perform inspections, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and project leadership to foster a robust safety culture. Ideal candidates hold CSP/CIH/ASP/ARM/CHST/OHST or a safety degree with 3+ years of construction safety experience, plus OSHA certifications and CPR/First Aid/BBP credentials.

Qualifications

• Credential + 3 years construction safety experience (CSP/CIH/ASP/ARM/CHST/OHST or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field + 3 years construction safety experience; OR
• 5+ years of relevant construction safety experience.
• OSHA certifications (OSHA 500 Construction or OSHA 30-Hour Construction) within past 5 years.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certification through Red Cross or approved equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site safety activities, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Conduct safety meetings, maintain agendas, minutes, and attendance records.
• Document inspection findings and track corrective actions through closeout.
• Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and required reporting.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, JSAs/JHAs, and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA Construction/General Industry requirements.
• Provide ongoing safety training, coaching, and compliance guidance to site personnel.
• Collaborate with owner, contractors, subcontractors, and project leadership to drive safety culture.
