Job summary

Responsibilities include developing site safety plans, performing inspections, documenting hazards, and leading safety training. Travel up to 80% is required; a bachelor’s degree in safety is preferred and OSHA/EPA familiarity is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years construction safety managerial experience or equivalent.
• Experience/training in Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA rules, reporting for construction safety.
• Ability to train and communicate effectively across levels.

Responsibilities

• Preview projects/sites to identify safety and environmental risks.
• Develop site safety plans, EAP, and training for sites.
• Visit active sites to ensure plan compliance with regs.
• Document safety hazards and health risks seen on sites.
• Coordinate with management to implement safety improvements.
• Lead corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Manage contractors' safety programs and training.
• Audit training records for compliance.
• Investigate accidents with interviews and inspections.
• Provide updates to Project Manager and Director of Safety.
