Job summary

Barton Malow in the greater Richmond area is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to plan, coordinate, and enforce safety on diverse projects in sports, healthcare, higher education, and large‑scale commercial construction. You will work with project teams and receive guidance from senior safety leadership to ensure OSHA compliance and a strong safety culture.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30, OSHA 510 preferred, and ability to travel to multiple project

Qualifications

3+ years of construction safety experience in a similar role.
OSHA 30 certification.
OSHA 510 certification preferred.
Ability to travel to project sites throughout the greater Richmond, VA area.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily safety inspections and audits on a project site. Correct basic hazards, unsafe acts, or safety issues and coordinate with the Safety Manager for non-basic matters.
Execute project safety plans, Barton Malow safety policies, and OSHA standards on a project.
Lead or facilitate safety meetings and orientations and participate in project leadership meetings.
Inspect machines, tools, equipment, vehicles, and safety equipment; confirm Competent Person status where applicable.
Lead or perform incident investigations and prepare documentation and summaries.
