Job summary

Safety Management Group, LLC in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a local Safety Advisor - Owner's Rep with construction safety experience to oversee safety during final construction and facility readiness on a large healthcare project.

You will monitor activities, identify safety concerns, and drive contractor safety programs, audits, and incident investigations while coordinating with construction management to maintain a strong safety culture across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience on large commercial, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong contractor safety program and contractor management experience.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and safety assessments.
• Ability to lead safety discussions and coach field personnel.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Experience with safety committees, project meetings, and incident investigations.
• Certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST preferred.
• First-aid/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide owner-representative safety oversight during final construction and facility readiness phases of a healthcare project.
• Monitor construction activities and identify and communicate safety concerns.
• Conduct contractor safety evaluations and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Manage project safety programs and align with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in field walks, meetings, and coordination with contractors.
• Coach on contractor safety management processes and expectations.
• Collaborate with construction management to maintain a strong safety culture.
