Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Sacramento is seeking an entry-level EHS Intern to assist in safety and loss control on construction projects and at office locations.

You will help implement safety programs, conduct site inspections, support training sessions, and maintain safety records under supervision. This role offers hands-on exposure to construction safety practices and regulatory compliance, with a range of development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college with at least 1 year completed in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of safety and environmental principles and techniques.
• Willing to work standard business hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing safety programs on construction sites and offices.
• Identify and report safety violations and imminent hazards.
• Coordinate safety duties for committees and toolbox meetings.
• Support safety training and orientations.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
• Promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with drug screening program administration.
• Document meetings and conduct jobsite inspections.
• Maintain safety records (OSHA logs, training, etc.).
• Support worker orientation and participation tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
