Job summary

RAM Construction Services invites applications for a Spring/Summer Safety Intern. The program offers hands-on field experience and office exposure, mentored by seasoned safety professionals, safety captains, and field staff. Be part of a team committed to safety and excellence in construction.

You will assist with paperwork, attend meetings, conduct site inspections, and help track safety data while developing essential OSHA-related skills in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university program related to Occupational Safety and Health.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Knowledge of safety aspects in construction.
• Comfortable meeting and talking with new people.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Safety Director and Safety Managers with job start-up paperwork.
• Attending safety meetings
• Conducting on-site inspections with Safety personnel
• Tracking and recording safety-related statistics
• Completing Job Safety Analysis

Generous Compensation Package Includes:

• $22/hr starting wage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting Safety Director and Safety Managers with job start-up paperwork.

Education Required:

Currently attending a college or university in a related degree program for Occupational Safety and Health.

Experience, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

• Comfortable with meeting and talking with new people.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Have knowledge in all safety related aspects in construction.

Technology:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of computers, including e-mail and word processing abilities, Excel, Microsoft Office & Outlook

Work Environment:

As a Safety Intern for RAM, the employee will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, areas close to traffic.

Travel:

If travel is required to complete your job duties, you will be recompensated appropriately (mileage reimbursement, etc).
