Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Safety in Phoenix, AZ to lead and strengthen our safety culture across field operations, projects, and support functions. You'll partner with operations leaders to build practical, consistent safety standards and protect employees, clients, and project outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction safety, strong communication skills, and is able to influence teams at every level. A CSP/CHST/OHST or related certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Experience leading safety initiatives in field-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and general construction safety practices.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations, audits, and corrective-action follow-up.
• Ability to influence crews, supervisors, and managers across multiple sites.
• Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OHST, or similar are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, construction management, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s safety strategy and day-to-day safety program across construction and field operations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and project leaders to reduce risk and improve compliance.
• Track safety metrics, identify trends, and report findings to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to applicable safety regulations and company standards.
• Support onboarding, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee safety education.
• Promote a proactive safety culture that balances accountability, productivity, and care for people.
