Job summary

Chase Doors is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator for a Lithia Springs, GA job site. The role implements the safety program and ensures subcontractors comply with OSHA and site-specific plans.

You will conduct inspections, address hazards, and support incident investigations while maintaining records for site safety compliance. The position requires OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification, 2–5 years of construction safety experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• OSHA 510 or 511 or equivalent training preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to enforce safety requirements in the field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and operations.
• Identify, correct, and document hazards related to fall protection, elevated work, material handling, rigging, scissor lifts, aerial work platforms, forklifts, and telehandlers.
• Immediately address unsafe conditions involving personnel or equipment.
• Coordinate hazard mitigation with the EHS Manager and GC safety team when issues impact other trades or shared spaces.
• Enforce compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, company safety policies, and GC Site Specific Safety Plans.
• Support implementation of subcontractor safety programs and GC safety requirements.
• Participate in incident, injury, and near miss investigations and ensure timely reporting.
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses and Activity Hazard Analyses.
• Support emergency response procedures as directed.
• Conduct or assist with safety orientations, task specific briefings, and toolbox talks.
• Verify required training, certifications, and operator qualifications.
• Maintain inspection reports, training records, incident documentation, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
