Job summary

Infinite Consulting Corp. seeks a Construction Safety Auditor to perform short on-site safety inspections across NYC construction sites. This part-time, as-needed role focuses on OSHA and NYC DOB compliance and clear reporting within roughly 2-hour visits.

You will identify hazards, document findings with photos and corrective actions, and communicate results to project managers and leadership. Travel to NYC sites on short notice is required.

Qualifications

• CHST certification issued by BCSP or CSP/ASP
• 7+ years construction safety experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and NYC DOB regulations
• Ability to travel to NYC job sites on short notice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce clear, objective, and timely inspection reports

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and on-call construction site safety audits across NYC locations
• Assess compliance with OSHA, NYC Department of Buildings, and site-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions, work practices, or regulatory violations

Pay Rate: $60 - $70/Hour

Position Summary

The Construction Safety Auditor will conduct short-duration (approximately 2-hour) on-site safety inspections across active construction projects throughout New York City. This is a part-time, as-needed role ideal for safety professionals seeking flexible, project-based work. The Safety Auditor will ensure compliance with OSHA, NYC DOB regulations, and company safety standards while providing clear documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• CHST certification issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Mandatory OR CSP/ASP
• 7+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and NYC DOB regulations.
• Ability to travel to job sites across NYC on short notice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear, objective, and timely inspection reports.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Site Safety Inspector, Safety Auditor, or Safety Technician.
• Experience in construction safety services, including preparation and review of safety plans and accident/incident investigations for construction projects.
• Practical knowledge of safety regulations and standards. Good communication and report writing skills.
• Familiarity with NYC-specific construction requirements, including Site Safety Plans and Local Law compliance.
• Additional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHMM) a plus.
