Job summary

You will enforce OSHA standards, lead toolbox talks and incident investigations, and coordinate with contractors to mitigate hazards while maintaining documentation and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience
• Extensive experience with excavation, trenching, underground utilities, and heavy civil construction
• BCSP certification required — CSP, CHST, or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510/511 certification required (as applicable to project requirements).

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce site-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Provide oversight of excavation, trenching, underground utilities, and other high-risk construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project leadership to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Maintain required safety documentation, reports, permits, and corrective actions.
• Lead emergency preparedness, fall protection, confined space, and excavation safety programs.

Job description
