Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety on a large-scale data center construction project, with a strong emphasis on underground utilities, excavation, trenching and heavy civil work.

The role ensures OSHA compliance, client expectations and safety standards on-site. You will lead safety programs, conduct inspections and investigations, coordinate with contractors, and drive hazard mitigation across the project team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably on data center, industrial, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Extensive experience with excavation, trenching, underground utilities, and heavy civil construction.
  • BCSP certification required — CSP, CHST, or equivalent.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 510/511 certification required (as applicable to project requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enforce site-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
  • Provide oversight of excavation, trenching, underground utilities, and other high-risk construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project leadership to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Maintain required safety documentation, reports, permits, and corrective actions.
  • Lead emergency preparedness, fall protection, confined space, and excavation safety programs.
