Apex Building Group, Inc. is seeking a Risk Management Director to lead enterprise risk management and insurance programs across housing development, construction, and property ownership.

The role identifies, evaluates, and mitigates risks while ensuring coverage and compliant risk allocation. You will partner with executive leadership, finance, development, construction operations, legal, HR, and property management to protect assets, projects, and reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, finance, construction, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive risk management experience in real estate or construction.
• Experience managing enterprise or project risk programs and contractual risk allocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of enterprise risk management programs.
• Oversee insurance programs across multiple lines and manage broker relations.
• Monitor risk, contracts, and claims; ensure regulatory compliance for affordable housing.
• Collaborate with leadership and project teams on risk analysis and mitigation.
• Lead annual budgeting, reporting, and risk governance across the organization.
