Qualifications
- BA/BS in construction management, finance, business, real estate, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years underwriting or risk assessment in construction lending.
- Advanced financial modeling using Excel and financial software.
Responsibilities
- Assess project feasibility, risk factors, and borrower creditworthiness per underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare underwriting documentation with risk assessments and loan recommendations.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and loan compliance.
- Contribute to decisions for projects valued $3M–$20M.
- Develop financial models and perform detailed risk analysis.
- Monitor portfolio health and report to senior management.
- Collaborate with loan officers, sponsors, and stakeholders.
