Job summary

BIC Recruiting client is seeking a General Manager in New Orleans, LA to lead operations for a large rental-related business. You will partner with Operations and Construction teams to drive safety, on-time delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction, while guiding sales alignment and pricing strategy.

Qualifications

• Construction industry experience required.
• Rental experience, preferably construction-related rental or access/equipment services.
• Branch management or General Manager experience preferred.
• Experience managing both field and office employees; operations and day-to-day branch responsibility.
• Customer/client relationship experience.
• Some involvement with sales and business development.
• Financial responsibilities including budgets, AP, invoicing, collections, payroll, or P&L.
• Safety and OSHA/compliance exposure.
• Experience managing inventory, equipment, materials, and/or fleet.
• Strong leadership and employee management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations and Construction Manager to oversee policy deployment on quality, cost, delivery, safety, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales to target market, product, and price to meet goals.
• Provide leadership for employee relations through coaching, training, and development.
• Support Safety Manager to ensure OSHA standards are met.
• Lead in resolving internal and client-service issues to improve relationships.
• Manage material requirements to optimize inventory turns and reduce on-hand levels.
• Oversee finances including accounts payable, invoicing, collections, and payroll.
• Ensure smooth onboarding of new employees and complete forms.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
