Job summary

McGough Construction in Rapid City, SD seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead field QA/QC activities across project lifecycles. You will partner with project teams, trade partners, consultants and owners to ensure quality aligns with contract documents, specs, codes, and McGough standards.

The role encompasses quality planning, inspections, testing, documentation and continuous improvement, mentoring quality personnel, and driving accountability and a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction field leadership roles (Quality Control, Superintendent, or Project Manager)
• 5 years of experience leading teams, coaching and developing staff
• Strong knowledge of building constructability across definable features of work
• Experience managing subcontracted testing firms and scope buyout
• Experience with construction software including Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office
• Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) within the last five years or willingness to obtain within 90 days
• OSHA 30 certification completed

Responsibilities

• Create and implement the QA/QC management system on site per contracting office requirements
• Define and establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications
• Coordinate with site construction manager on all quality issues
• Chair QA/QC site weekly meetings with subcontractors and distribute QA/QC documentation
• Maintain QA/QC records for turnover and closeout
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance
• Manage documentation and ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle
