Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Quality Manager I to implement, improve and execute the Quality management systems (QMS) for the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. Lead quality processes, audits and insure adherence to contractual requirements to achieve safe, quality, efficient and profitable project execution.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, establishing KPIs, risk management, and coordinating inspections with operations and client

Qualifications

• Min 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a quality role.
• Level 1 QCM certification is required/preferred
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC QCM certification preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree in AEC or related field (preferred); current certification required
• Ability to travel as needed (limited travel)

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for projects, ensuring quality of works, materials, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches and mentors project staff in quality management and processes.
• Leads quality processes like planning, pre-activity meetings, material mgmt, QIRs, lessons.
• Establishes and reports KPIs and analyzes trends for continuous improvement.
• Audits project quality programs and provides feedback to improve relationships and non-conformances.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation; coordinates with operations, labs and client.
• Creates project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control procedures.
• Supports risk management to improve profitability and mitigate risk.
• Maintains relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Supports site safety to meet safety procedures and goals.
• Monitors quality costs, rework, and billing-related risk reporting.
