Battelle Energy Alliance is seeking a Construction Quality Engineer to join the INL ESH&Q team at the Idaho National Laboratory. The role covers quality program reviews, development of QA plans, and integration of quality requirements across projects and procurement. The position requires progress toward BEA Quality Engineer certification and the ability to obtain a DOE L clearance as a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a technical field related to Quality with 5 years of related experience, or a Master\'s degree with 2 years, or in lieu of degree 11+ years of related experience.
• Level 4 requires 9+ years with a degree or 6+ with a Master\'s, or 15+ years in lieu of degree.
• Relevant experience commensurate with level in quality-related fields (engineering, operations, manufacturing).
• Must be able to obtain BEA Quality Engineer certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L clearance (US Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality program reviews to identify and incorporate quality requirements.
• Establish inspection basis and nonconformance protocols.
• Provide technical expertise to program, project, facility management regarding quality compliance.
• Develop quality planning documents and QA inspection plans.
• Review and approve quality-related procurement actions.
• Assist facility personnel in developing new quality concepts for SSC design, development, procurement, and installation.
• Conduct quality assessments and surveillance to identify weaknesses and improvements.
• Coach/mentor personnel on DOE Nuclear Facilities quality requirements.
• Provide surveillance, auditing, and reporting services for assigned facility/scope.
