Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale construction management and government contracts (Air Force, Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC) a plus

CMS Construction is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Please only apply for this position if you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QC Manager on federal projects over $4M. Work Locations: Out-of-town travel may be required on projects located at but not limited to Naval Base Ventura County and Military Ocean Terminal Concord. Travel expenses covered by CMS include housing, flights, and fuel. Other locations may include but are not limited to: Southern California, Northern California. 4/10 or 5/8 schedule, dependent on job location. $110,000 - $132,000 salary depending on qualifications and experience. Experience in large-scale construction management or construction trade with increasing levels of responsibility. Federal government construction experience (Air Force, Corps of Engineers, and NAVFAC) a plus Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations; use reason when dealing with emotional topics. Write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. Manage difficult customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments. Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens, and gets clarification, and responds well to questions. Proficient computer experience including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Procore, and Microsoft project scheduling, RMS 3.0 (USACE contracts) required. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others. Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check. Maintain a clean record to ensure GOV. badging/background checks.
