Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking experienced Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCM) to support our Field Operations teams at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. This is a fully on-site role with potential travel/relocation as project demands require; local candidates are preferred.

Second shift may be needed. The CQCM will administer the project-specific Quality Control Program, coordinate inspections, maintain RMS/QCS reporting, and support field operations while coordinating with leadership,

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in the commercial construction industry or related fields (e.g., Superintendent, QC Manager, PM, Project Engineer).
• Minimum of two years serving specifically in a Construction Quality Control Manager role.
• Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.
• Experience with RMS/QCS systems preferred; training may be provided.
• Previous experience supporting runway or airfield construction projects preferred.
• Specialty inspection certifications or related licenses valued.
• LEED credentials preferred (LEED AP/Green Associate).
• Required certifications include EM 385-1-1 Level 1, OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid; company training may be available.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; able to use project management and construction software (Viewpoint/Vista, RMS/QCS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer the project-specific Quality Control Program to meet contract requirements and project specs.
• Coordinate inspections and testing activities and maintain quality documentation and RMS/QCS reporting.
• Support field and self-perform construction operations and coordinate with leadership, subcontractors, and clients.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to established quality standards.

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking experienced Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCM) to support our Field Operations teams. This opportunity is currently supporting work at Naval Station Norfolk, in Virginia. This is a fully on-site role and may require travel or relocation depending on project demands, with preference given to candidates local to the project area. Second shift work may be needed based on project demands.

In this role, the CQCM will oversee and administer the project-specific Quality Control Program to ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and USACE standards. Responsibilities include coordinating inspections and testing activities, maintaining quality documentation and RMS/QCS reporting, supporting field and self-perform construction operations, and working closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and clients to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with established quality standards. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of building strong working relationships while supporting RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Qualifications

• LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate credentials are preferred
• Required certifications include EM 385-1-1 Level 1, OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid; company-sponsored training may be available if needed
• Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, are required
• Experience using project management and construction software platforms such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS is preferred
