Job summary

HHICorporation, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee quality and safety across diverse projects up to $50 million. The role requires ensuring compliance with OSHA, EM385-1-1, and project specs while coordinating with government inspectors and third-party labs.

You will develop and manage the Project Quality Control Plan (QCP), lead Three-Phase Control Meetings, and ensure timely documentation and reporting for government submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• At least 10 years of construction experience with 2+ years as Primary QC Manager on federal projects.
• Experience on federal projects (USACE, NAVFAC, VA or similar).
• Experience on projects valued at $8 million or greater.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine site walks and inspections to identify, document, and correct deficient or non-conforming work.
• Enforce approved project safety plans and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Lead and document three-phase QC meetings (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up).
• Lead mishap investigations and complete required reporting to HH I and government agencies.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit required QC documentation, reports, and logs.

MainDutiesandResponsibilities

• Assistwithprojectcloseoutactivities,includingpunchlists,as-builtdocumentation,warranties,andO&Mmanuals.

KeyWorkingRelationships

MustbeabletoworkprofessionallyandeffectivelywithGovernmentrepresentatives,inspectors,andnon-governmentpersonnel.TheQualityControlManagermustcoordinatewithmultipletradesanddisciplinestoensurequalitycompliancewithoutimpedingconstructionprogress.Clear,conciseverbalandwrittencommunicationwithOwners,ProjectManagers,Superintendents,andCorporateSafetyisrequired.

MinimumQualifications

• Bachelor’sdegreeinEngineeringorConstructionManagement
• Minimumten(10)yearsofconstructionexperience,withatleasttwo(2)yearsservingasthePrimaryQualityControlManageronfederalconstructionprojects.
• Demonstratedexperienceonfederalprojects(USACE,NAVFAC,VA,orsimilar).
• Successfullycompletedatleastoneprojectvaluedat$8millionorgreater.
• Experienceonprojectsexceeding10,000squarefeet.
• OSHA30-HourConstructionSafetyTrainingwithdemonstratedknowledgeofEM385-1-1.
• WorkingknowledgeofRMS/QCSandGovernmentelectronicreportingsystems.
• ProficientinMicrosoft,Word,andExcel.
• Strongabilitytoread,interpret,andenforceplans,specifications,andapprovedsubmittals.
• Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,includingformalGovernmentcorrespondence.
• Well-developedorganizational,documentation,andtime-managementskills.
• ExperienceusingBluebeamandProcore(orsimilarconstructionmanagementplatforms).
• MustmeetGovernmentsecurityclearancerequirements.
