Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Quality professional to develop, maintain, and oversee quality programs across projects. You will coordinate field engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project standards.

Travel and relocation to project sites are required, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with direct hire teams and subcontractors. A USACE CQM-C certification is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Willing to relocate/travel domestically and internationally for project sites.
• Minimum of five (5) years on large dam, infrastructure, and earthwork construction projects.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good attention to detail with ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to freely access construction sites in varying climates.
• USACE CQM-C certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and verify implementation of quality programs for the Project, including direct hire and subcontractor work.
• Manage and coordinate quality activities across field engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning within the Project scope.
• Maintain client liaison and communication for project quality activities as directed by management.
• Review, audit, and report quality issues and progress across direct hire and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
• Must be willing to travel and relocate. Project sites are located domestically and internationally, so relocation and/or travel are required.

• Develops, maintains, and verifies implementation of the Quality programs for the Project, together with oversight of the implementation of programs/plans for the direct hire workand Sub-Contractor.
• Manages and coordinates Quality activities associated with field engineering field procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning within the Project scope.
• Maintains client liaison and communication for Project's quality activities, as directed by the Project Manager and Quality Control Manager.
• Reviews, audits and surveys Quality activities across the Project direct hire execution and Sub-Contractors and advises and reports to management qualityproblems and progress within the Project.
