Job summary

JLM Strategic Talent Partners is seeking a Quality Control professional for a Los Angeles area project. You will perform inspections and tests to assure construction quality, lead engineering teams, and coordinate with reviewers to maintain standards.

Ideal candidates have proven QC experience in engineering or civil construction, thrive in fast-paced settings, and communicate clearly. This on-site role offers growth, competitive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and tests to ensure construction quality per drawings and specs.
• Lead small groups of engineers to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Meet project deadlines and communicate findings through drawings, reports, and verbal updates.
• Coordinate with the consultant’s rep and site engineers on inspections and quality issues.
• Ensure procedures are followed on site per approved method statements and test plans.
• Carry out inspections and quality-related checks on site.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• The ideal candidate has a proven track record of previous Quality Control experience in engineering and/or civil construction work.

• Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site in Los Angeles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS

• Construction experience is a must
• Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed on or off site
• Lead small groups of engineers to complete project requirements
• Coordinate with reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work
• Perform work within project deadlines
• Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange
• Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site Engineers in charge of inspection and meeting about quality problems
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures on the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan
• Other duties as assigned
